She doesn't enter markets. She creates them. From a $51,000 diamond manicure named by international press as the world's most expensive, to a CQC-regulated care company — everything begins with a gap and a decision to fill it.
Every business I have built started the same way: I noticed something missing and decided to build it. Not because the timing was perfect or because I had a roadmap — but because the need was real and I was the one standing in front of it.
From pioneering a luxury hair brand for the Black hair care market and creating what international press named the world's most expensive diamond manicure — featured in Vogue and Harper's Bazaar — to founding a CQC-registered care company and building an international trade operation across the UK, Nigeria and the US.
The thread running through all of it is the same: clarity, conviction, and the willingness to build what doesn't yet exist.
From world records to regulated healthcare, from Abuja to London — Cherish brings a perspective on entrepreneurship that is genuinely rare: built from doing, not advising from the sidelines.
The story behind 17 years, 9 ventures and one consistent philosophy: if it doesn't exist, build it.
My first business wasn't planned in a boardroom. It was built from frustration. In 2009, the luxury hair care market had a blind spot: there was no premium, branded hair extensions company that genuinely understood or served Black women. I decided to be the one to build it.
Cherished Hair was born from that conviction — a luxury brand that took me to China, India and Peru to source directly, building supplier relationships and establishing a brand that quickly found its way into the hands of celebrities. It taught me everything I needed to know about international trade, positioning, and what it means to create a market rather than compete in one.
Two years later, I opened Swaggered Nails — and did it again. The result was the Iced Diamond Manicure: 10 carats of diamonds, $51,000, available exclusively by personal consultation. International press named it the world's most expensive diamond manicure. Vogue and Harper's Bazaar called. So did clients from London to Dubai.
My career as a qualified adults social worker gave me a precise view of how care services succeed and fail. When I became the primary carer for my mother during a serious illness, that professional knowledge became deeply personal.
In 2022 I founded Cherished Care — a CQC-registered domiciliary and supported living company with active Local Authority contracts across London and the South West of England. It is the business I am most proud of, because it was never about the market opportunity. It was built from a sense of purpose.
That same conviction led me to YouTube — where I began creating content about building a CQC-registered care business, because when I was looking for that guidance, it simply did not exist from UK creators. The demand was overwhelming. A consultancy followed, helping others navigate the same path I had walked.
Across every venture — beauty, healthcare, logistics, education, advisory — the constant has never been the industry. It has been the philosophy: see clearly, act decisively, build something real.
As a mother committed to home education, I am acutely aware that the conventional school system does not prepare young people for the world as it actually is. That awareness led to The Young Thinker — a programme for parents raising entrepreneurially-minded, financially literate, critically thinking children.
Today, through Leverage Advisory Group, I work with a small number of founders and senior professionals — helping them find the clarity, structure and leverage to move forward at the next level.
17 years. 9 ventures. Four continents. One consistent instinct.
Founded to fill a genuine gap: no premium, branded hair extensions company existed for the Black hair care consumer. I sourced directly from China, India and Peru — travelling internationally to establish supplier relationships — and built a brand that reached celebrity clientele. A pioneer in a market that has since grown enormously.
I didn't open a nail bar — I created a category. The Iced Diamond Manicure, 10 carats of brilliant white diamonds at $51,000, was named by international press as the world's most expensive diamond manicure, available exclusively by personal consultation from The Dorchester, London. The team travelled anywhere in the world to deliver it. Featured in Vogue, Harper's Bazaar, NAILS Magazine, Racked and international luxury press. The aftercare service converted the diamonds into bespoke jewellery.
The Cherished brand expanded into West Africa with a flagship store in Abuja, Nigeria — importing professional hair and beauty tools from the US, Asia and the UK. A live international trade and e-commerce operation that continues today, serving the Nigerian market with premium product access.
When COVID-19 lockdowns hit Abuja in 2020, essential goods could no longer move freely. I launched a transportation and delivery operation to serve my existing clients and other local businesses who needed reliable last-mile logistics during the restrictions. Born from necessity; run on relationships.
Built from the convergence of professional expertise — I am a qualified adults social worker — and the personal experience of caring for my mother through acute illness. Cherished Care is CQC-registered with active Local Authority contracts across London and the South West of England. It represents the most purposeful business I have built: grounded not in market timing, but in genuine necessity.
When I began sharing knowledge about CQC registration on YouTube — content almost entirely absent from UK creators at the time — the demand was immediate and overwhelming. That demand became a consultancy, helping aspiring care operators navigate registration, compliance and launch. Built from community, not strategy.
A selective advisory practice for established founders and senior professionals who are capable but stuck. The work draws on 17+ years of pattern recognition across industries — identifying and removing the structural and strategic bottlenecks that prevent growth. Not frameworks. Experience.
A programme and resource for parents raising entrepreneurially curious, financially literate children in a world that moves faster than any school curriculum can keep pace with. Drawn from personal experience as a home-educating mother and 17 years of building real businesses from first principles.

Each talk is drawn from lived experience — verifiable, press-covered, and commercially real. No theory. No frameworks borrowed from someone else's journey.
The inside story of how a luxury nail bar became an internationally covered phenomenon featured in Vogue and Harper's Bazaar — and what it reveals about the difference between competing in a market and creating one from scratch.
Nine businesses. Four continents. Beauty, healthcare, logistics, education. What happens when you build from conviction rather than a business plan — and what that process reveals about decision-making, risk and identity.
From a luxury hair brand no one had thought to build for Black women, to a care company born from personal crisis — a frank conversation about the opportunities hiding inside the markets mainstream business ignores.
A personal talk on the relationship between who you are becoming and what you are capable of building — and why the most important investment any entrepreneur makes is in their own thinking.
"Cherish brings something rare to a stage: a track record that is genuinely verifiable, and a perspective on entrepreneurship that could only have been earned by doing it across multiple industries over seventeen years."
